Honoring Mrs. Rosemary Brooks

Rosemary Brooks was born July 17, 1917, in Quincy, FL. She was the oldest of 4 siblings and raised with a solid Christian foundation. By many standards, she lived a normal life. She married, had children of her own, and lived to see her great-great grandchildren before passing away on Easter Sunday, (April 12, 2020) at the age of 102.

Rosemary was special because she lived from her heart up until her last breath. And although she was a woman of modest means, Rosemary lived a full life, and always concerned herself with the welfare of others. She is known for always saying “I love everybody.” Rosemary truly wanted to help the world.

The Community Heroes Program is a program of Dewlyn Nonprofit Services which was started July 2020 in honor of, and with funding from Rosemary’s estate. Since inception, the Community Heroes Program has helped nonprofits across the U.S. gain knowledge and program funding through Community Heroes Awards.

Thank you Granny.  You are still my special girl!
